The Holiday Programme, activities and trips operate
under policies, procedures and guidelines set and
approved by CYFS and OSCAR.

Where: The programme is generally held in the Purple Room at Gorge Road School. Some activities require the use of the community centre located next to the school and the playing areas around the school. All parents will be notified of any off site excursions prior to them taking place.
Operating hours: Opening hours are 9am till 5pm, Monday through to Friday. Parents can send their child/ren for morning or afternoon sessions or for the day.
Fees: The fees are $3.50 an hour per child, $20 per child 9am to 3pm or $25 per child 9am to 5pm. If parents pick their children up past 5pm late fees will be incurred at a rate per child of $10 for the first 10 minutes and $1 per minute thereafter. Payment for care must be made within 5 days of receiving an invoice. For day trips extra costs are involved. Any credit a parent has will not apply on these days and the extra cost must be paid by 8.45am on the day of the trip.
Parent Subsidies: Families may be entitled to a subsidy for children attending the hioliday programme through Work and Income NZ. Please phone WINZ on 0800 773 003 for more information.

In the holidays on the day bookings must be made by 8am to the cell phone number or via email by 7am only. This programme is available for children up to the age of 13 years. Enrolment forms need to be filled in for each family. They can be sent out– please contact the above number for these or alternatively parents can fill out forms on the child’s first morning of attendance.

Lunch: Please provide your child with lunch and a drink. Morning tea and afternoon tea will be provided. For an additional $4.50 lunch can be provided– consisting of pizza, juice, muesli bar & fruit. On some ‘extra’ special occasions lunch may be bought i.e. Fish & chip lunch day or lunch may be provided in a cooking session. Please see the timetable for more information. Please let the supervisor know if your child has any special dietary requirements.
What to bring: Please ensure your child has a change of clothes or togs & towel if required. Children will also need to bring a sunhat & jacket each day. All items must be clearly labelled as the programme accepts no liability for lost or stolen items. Children are not to bring items of value including electronics, game boys or toys unless specifically requested by the programme.
